Fairy tales, magic, far off lands where only we, in our wildest dreams used to play during childhood and not so childhood, can be a dreadful place where men are the bottom of the food chain and our so-called wits and talent are clumsy and slow (at best).

Fear has been a trait attributed to society, the fear of something bigger than us, which comes and takes away every scrap of power we may have over a planet we dare to call our own. We sometimes make stories up of mean aliens or untamed lands which men accidentally forgot to map keeping there the wisest old humans ever to cross the earth. Every fear comes from what can be taken away from us, every fearsome reaction creates a new vulnerability, unchains the events which will take us one step closer towards that which we fear the most. No, there’s no bigger fear for me than the power of our masterpiece. A masterpiece in any sense, regarding anything we are able to create has two parts: A passionate significant part of us (that which we love, fear, hate, etc.) and that which we’re longing for, something we obviously lack. This comes to my mind whenever I think of the piece of paper I found a week ago, the first part of what I believe to be a story, titled “The Oracle” which reads:

“For 600 years earth has been invaded by knowledge and for so long human kind has been fighting wars, creating soldiers with unique traits. Almost human, these soldiers were meant to live forever to guard people. But as time passed by and the new breed of soldiers determined man kind to be unworthy of protection, knowing themselves stronger and fitter, they decided to take control of the ones who claimed to be their creators, and now seemed grotesque beasts lacking all the grace, neatness and elegance they naturally develop.

That’s how mankind has found itself to be an endangered species, thrown out of their own lands, decaying and defeated by their very own masterpiece. They live now in exile where hope still lightens hearts in their crusade to eliminate them… elves, that is.

-194 survivors, that’s all what’s left of us, 194 men and women, and a planet crowded with hideous monsters and elves. We have developed now special powers in our children, so one day, tired of humiliation, they feel that longing to prevail and to rule again over the earth.-”
